Most of the issues that exist with families and receiving messages from SchoolMessenger fall into one of two different categories:

1) I am not receiving text messages.

Receiving text messages from SchoolMessenger requires that an SMS phone number must opt-in to the messaging system. Otherwise, SchoolMessenger is barred by state and federal laws from sending text messages to phone numbers that have not opted in.

See THIS WEBPAGE from SchoolMessenger to find out more.

To opt-in to the SMS messaging feature, send a text message to 67587 from a phone number that is registered with your school building. You will want to text the word 'Subscribe'.

If you are not sure if your phone number is registered with the school, the main office of your student's school building can answer that question for you.

2) I don't receive the messages that I want on the devices that I want.

SchoolMessenger is able to make phone calls, send text messages (SMS), and send emails to a limited number of contacts per student. To be sure that your phone numbers and email addresses are current with the school district, please call the front office of the school building where your student is enrolled. Those personnel will be able to assist you with updating your contact information.
