1:1 Chromebook Contract for Students 2019-2020
Eau Claire High School provides every child in grades 9-12 a 1:1 Chromebook device to use during the academic school year. Please read this contract carefully before signing and returning to the school.
1. The Chromebook is property of Eau Claire High School and, as such, is a privilege that can be revoked at any time.
2. The Chromebook is an electronic tool for learning, first and foremost.
3. Student Chromebook serial numbers and asset tag numbers will be recorded by the school and assigned to the student.
4. This Chromebook is for the sole use of the student whose signature is below. Under no circumstances should the Chromebook be loaned to other students or be out of the personal possession of the student whose signature appears below.
5. The student is responsible for the following parts:
a. Chromebook (replacement cost up to $200)
b. Chromebook charger (replacement cost $25)
c. Chromebook carrying case (replacement cost $25)
6. The Chromebook can be taken home for homework and should be available for use in class every day, fully charged. This Chromebook will be web-filtered when it is off-campus.
7. The Chromebook may be tracked via GPS by the school district at any time to determine its location.
8. Any Chromebook or assigned accessory unaccounted for or broken at any time during the school year may be charged to the student at the replacement rate listed in #5.
9. Eau Claire High School has made arrangements with HP to cover the Chromebook under an extended warranty that includes coverage for accidental damage. Any damage to the devices should be avoided.
10. If a student is no longer enrolled at Eau Claire High School, the Chromebook and all accessories must be immediately returned to the Tech Director.
11. If there is a problem with the device, the Tech Director must be notified as soon as possible.
12. These rules are subject to modification at the discretion of Eau Claire High School.
I understand the rules stated above and agree to follow them. Both signatures must be present and this form filled out completely. Additional copies of this contract are available from Eau Claire High School.
