Remember that you SmartBoard is really just a large, touch-sensitive panel on which your projector is projecting an image. Because of this, the projector and the SmartBoard need to be in agreement as to where the touching and the projecting should match up. The process of making them agree with each other is called calibration.
To re-calibrate your SmartBoard, you can access the Smart Tools icon in your Windows Taskbar (the icons in the lower right corner of the Windows desktop). A calibration option (sometimes called orientation) should be available in those Smart Tools.
